Super fun and easy holiday craft with kids. Mine are ages 3, 5, 7 and they had a blast!
We made these Christmas candy canes in every color combination imaginable! They now hang all over our tree and not a single house guest goes home without one! ;)
We used shimmer pipe cleaners.
Cut them in half.
Chose desired color combinations...
and TWIST!!

Homemade Birthday Cake: Green Army Men
My "Baby Boy" is five... omg, FIVE! =-O
I usually make their birthday cake, homemade.
Theme of their choice, and we have fun with it!
Since he had Batman last year,
next best thing this year is "shooting men!"
So we went with a Green Army Men/Camo style.
Started with a simple 13x9 baked cake.
I frosted entire top with light green frosting.
(Vanilla frosting plus about 5 drops of green food coloring.)

I added drops of additional food coloring to make the camo look.
I used green and black along with an olive green shade I made
just mixing some colors. lol
My son helped me place the toys where he liked.
We also used Chocolate Sanding Sugar, cause it looks cool and tastes yummy!
Then Mommy had fun taking some photos ;)
We had fun and the party guests loved it!!
Happy 5th Birthday Braden!
{At bedtime he said he had "too good of a day, too much fun" <3}

Handcrafted... Strength and Appeal.
Protect your Handmade purchase!
Threading the wires through a Cable Thimble
Threading the wires through a Cable Thimble
is a great way to protect the wires from fraying.
Over time, as the wires rub against the metal of your clasp,
It's inevitable...
Your favorite piece of jewelry will break.
Or worse, Get lost!!
DUN DUN DUN...
rest assured
that I always use these sterling silver cable thimbles
for my handmade jewelry creations.
The design is simple, yet elegant
and the smooth silver has been polished,
adding to its appeal.
The quality and strength provides a professional touch.

Taking the handcrafted character
that you already love so well,

DIY Beach Keepsake, Souvenir, Home Decor.
Super easy and inexpensive
DIY Beach keepsake, souvenir, home decor.
Supplies:
-Small glass bottle with cork. I got mine at Micheal's for $1.19.
(With my 40% off coupon I only paid about 75 cents.)
-White beach sand. I borrowed mine from the kids sand box. ;)
-Four to six small shells. Must fit through the bottles opening.
-Twine, hemp or ribbon (optional).
The kids had fun on our recent family vacation to Deerfield Beach,
helping to gather shells.
Then I simply added the desired amount of sand, I filled the bottle about 1/2 an inch.
Gently dropped in the shells and closed the cork.
I tied on a simple piece of twine to finish it off.
Total cost was less than one dollar and only took a few minutes to put together.
Now I have a beautiful and sentimental keepsake from our family summer vacation!
A great accent to our beach themed bathroom. ;)

The Eleventh Of September
We mourn their loss this day this year
Those now with God, no danger near
Those now with God, no danger near
So many loved ones left do stand
Confronting loss throughout our land
Confronting loss throughout our land
My heart goes out to those who do
No one can fathom what they view
No one can fathom what they view
I firmly pray for peace of mind
Dear God please help each one to find
Dear God please help each one to find
And to our soldiers now at war
God guide above, at sea, on shore
God guide above, at sea, on shore
They are the best, I have no doubt
Our country’s pride, complete, devout
Our country’s pride, complete, devout
The finest force you’ll ever see
All freedom grown through liberty
All freedom grown through liberty
One final thought comes clear to me
For what must live in infamy
For what must live in infamy
Absolutely - We’ll Remember

Handmade Wooden Beaded Jewelry
I purchased these large wooden beads.
Thought they were way cool and had intentions of making something lovely with them... and then they sat in my supplies drawer, for almost TWO YEARS!!!
Occasionally I'd pull them out, look at them, and just draw a blank as to what to create...
That is, until this past week.
They are for sale individually at amysbodydecor.com
Paired up with Sterling Silver, these accessories exuberate gorgeous fashion and handmade quality.
Thanks for looking and supporting Handmade ♥

Summer Days at Celebration!
Over the weekend we took the kids out to Celebration, Florida to play.
Such a beautiful community and there's so many fun things for the kids!
Such a beautiful community and there's so many fun things for the kids!
We went on a nature walk around a couple of the lakes out there.
They have a new walking trail with boardwalks
connecting the lakes through the woods.
They have a new walking trail with boardwalks
connecting the lakes through the woods.
We found so many cool things!!
A lizard that winked at me! Was he hittin' on me?!!!
There were hundreds of Lubber Grasshopper's!!
The kids had a blast trying to catch them.. so funny,
once they did they didn't know what to do with them!!
These were piggy backin'
Lots of them were climbing up the trees looking for fresh leaves to eat.
Can you spot him?? Where's Waldo the grasshopper?! lol
The squirrels were very friendly towards humans!
Occasionally they would jump down to the boardwalk right beside us
and actually scare us!!
This one posed for me as I was only about a foot away...
Looked like he was contemplating jumping at me?!!!
We even spotted a tree with a heart in it!!
Towards the end of our walk as we were heading back into town
we spotted a baby alligator!
I was too scared to get down closer to the water to get a better shot
as momma may be lurking around?!
Wonder if this black bird wanted gator tail for lunch?!
Probably the other way around!!!
It was such a scorching hot day!
After the hike we took the kids down to the fountains
to play in the water and cool off.
There was actually a "No Diving" sign.. lmao...
I just LOVE summer days <3

Photoshoot with Lily
My first "real" photo shoot was a super success!
I can say this because we had a blast
and her Mom was very pleased with the results!!
and her Mom was very pleased with the results!!
We spent the afternoon playing, being silly, eating pirate booty,
torturing Moochie, dodging bugs....
torturing Moochie, dodging bugs....
all while I captured it all with my camera.
Her Mom, April is the founder and creator of LOLY Fashion Accessories.
Check them out on Facebook! Why not "like" em while you're there ;)
These gorgeous handcrafted accessories are also available at Sincerely Yours.
(If you're in the Central Florida area.)
So naturally we incorporated her beautiful flowers
coordinating them with Lily's outfits for the photo shoot.
Lily and I, on location... Working hard ;)
It is so hard to pick, I really LOVE them all! But here are a few of my Fav photo's
(See more on Facebook)
Are you ready for my absolute FAV one of them all...
As Lily says, "This is fun, sittin' on the porch... drinkin' a beer"
LOL too funny!!!
(Was just root beer btw)
